Field Trip!

To Jamie's Italian (aka THE Jamie Oliver's restaurant)! We went for a walk along the Thames & decided to pop 'round Jamie's in Kingston - it was closed, but that did not deter my excitement...

...which, unfortunately, is not too evident in the photo. Anyhow, will return with the recipes & culinary tales soon!

You know...

...you've been spending too much time pest(h)ering when you start dreaming about Jamie Oliver. Especially when it involves coming home to finding your mom and Jamie eating a bowl of cereal together in bed. They then ask you to go fetch them some peanut butter & pumpkin toast (?!?!?). You find your dad in the kitchen sulking, telling you he was the one who got them their cereal. You wake up.

True story. Perhaps having your friend's copy of "Cook with Jamie" on your bedside table is not such a good idea...

A Little Unrelated, A Whole Lotta Christmas

Sorry for the little hiatus, was busy getting ready to leave! I'm now in the UK, hoorah!

Anyhow, seeing as I was saving every penny (well, nearly) for my exchange, Christmas this year was DIY. What did I do? Give a little holiday cheer to my friends & fam... with Bailey's! I found the following recipe online: Homemade Bailey's Irish Cream-You'll Never Buy it Again. After making & tasting it (along with the fact that I made it for 1/3 of the store price), I will never buy it again! Here is some photographic proof:

Another great thing about homemade Bailey's is the fact that you get to buy the cheapest whiskey & it still tastes great!

So, hopefully everyone enjoyed it as much as my wallet did! Sorry for the lack of Jamie, he will return soon! (with travel stories to boot)
